This kit includes a Cellular Modem PC Card (RP14552-NOK1) and a refurbished NOKIA 5165 Dual Mode Digital/Analog cellular phone with battery and an AC battery charger. It is intended for ATT Wireless customers who cannot get cellular data access with the handsets available from ATT Wireless today. This kit will enable ATT Wireless customers to access the Internet using ATT Wireless extensive TDMA/Analog cellular network. The Nokia 5165 phone used to be offered by ATT Wireless but is no longer available from ATT Wireless currently. This phone will operate in the digital mode for voice calls and gives you advanced features such as Text Messaging. For Internet access, the Ositech Cellular modem will automatically set it up for data connection. The TDMA/Analog cellular network offers significantly extensive geographic coverage than the ATT Wireless GSM network today. Furthermore, ATT Wireless does not support circuit switched data on their GSM network requiring customers to use the expensive packet data network. With this kit the customer can use their plan minutes to access Internet. And with the ExpressLink Internet accelerator, you can experience speeds up to five times than than 9600 bps typical of circuit switched cellular networks.
